Neymar’s Hopeful Declaration: Reuniting with Lionel Messi and Dreaming of Playing for Inter Miami

During the Bahrain Grand Prix, the iconic Brazilian athlete was questioned about reuniting with his ex-partner on the field. He expressed his desire to team up with the Inter Miami sensation once again in the future.

After spending 15 years as a professional footballer, Neymar Jr has accomplished quite a bit in his career. Winning titles in three different countries, he stands out as one of the few players who have lifted both the Champions League and the Copa Libertadores. But his crowning glory came during his time at Barcelona, where he was part of the legendary MSN attacking trio with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. Now, with Messi and Suarez both playing for Inter Miami, Neymar has dropped hints that he may be interested in joining them.

During an interview at the Bahrain Grand Prix, Neymar mentioned that both he and Messi are happy, especially with Messi currently in Miami. He expressed his hope of playing together with Messi again in the future. Neymar, who recently joined Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League after leaving Paris Saint-Germain last summer, is recovering from injury. In recent years, his struggles with fitness have hindered his career despite being just 32 years old. Neymar’s talent is undeniable, but his injuries have unfortunately sidelined him during some of his best years.

The most recent injury that happened to the Brazilian player was when he tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during an international game in October. He had to leave the field during Brazil’s World Cup qualifying match against Uruguay and had surgery later that year.

Rodrigo Lasmar, the Brazilian national team doctor, stated in December that they anticipate Neymar will be ready to return to play at the beginning of the 2024 season in Europe, which typically starts in August. Lasmar emphasized the importance of patience and cautioned against prematurely discussing a return before nine months have passed since the injury. Neymar will have to stay with Al-Hilal until he completes his recovery from the injury. While a move to MLS seems unlikely in the near future, there is speculation that Neymar could potentially replace Luis Suarez at Miami if Suarez continues to struggle with his knee injury. However, only time will reveal whether Neymar will indeed make such a move and join forces with Messi in the future.
