Angelina Jolie’s Stylish Stroll in L.A. Amidst Ongoing Divorce Drama with Brad Pitt: The 17-Month Wait for Finalization

Angelina Jolie officially ended her marriage with Brad Pitt around 17 months back in September 2016. Dealing with the financial settlements and custody arrangements can be tiring for the talented actress, especially since they have requested an extension for the process. Recently, the 42-year-old actress seemed somber as she walked down the stairs of a building in Los Angeles.

In a more solemn demeanor, Angelina Jolie was spotted in Los Angeles gracefully making her way down a set of stairs, donning an all-black ensemble. The famous actress split from Brad back in September 2016, following an incident on a private plane while traveling abroad.

The divorce, initially expected to be settled quickly due to their relatively short-lived marriage, has unfortunately been drawn out. Reports suggest that both Angelina and Brad have sought therapy together, including sessions with their six children – Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne.

No end? The 42-year-old actress has been negotiating the divorce with Brad Pitt. Last week, they received court approval to extend their ongoing private divorce negotiations

The Tomb Raider actress was spotted enjoying a day out with her children – Shiloh, Maddox, Vivienne, Pax, Zahara, and Knox – at the Louvre in Paris in late January. When asked about her parenting approach, the By The Sea director emphasized the importance of her children discovering their own beliefs and values and standing up for others to ensure everyone has the same freedoms. Angelina’s perspective on life changed when she visited Cambodia in 2001 for her role in Tomb Raider, leading her to work with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and co-found the Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict Initiative in 2012. Recently, she discussed her ongoing advocacy against the use of rape and sexual violence in armed conflicts with former Secretary of State John Kerry for Elle magazine. In a more laid-back setting, Angelina Jolie was seen having a blast with her kids at the National Board of Review event.

The By The Sea director added that she also told her children, 'Find out who you are, what you think, and what you stand for'

In a recent interview, the director of By The Sea shared that she encourages her children to explore their own identities and beliefs. She crossed paths with Kerry in April 2013, while he was serving as Secretary of State, advocating for action to combat sexual violence in conflict zones. She remains optimistic about the collaboration between men and women in making a difference for women’s rights on a global scale. Reflecting on the struggles women have faced to reach the current state of progress, the director of First They Killed My Father emphasizes the importance of self-awareness, education on rights, and solidarity with women worldwide. She is determined to continue her advocacy against sexual violence in conflict, believing that there is still much work to be done.

In a recent photo, the 42-year-old actress Angelina Jolie was captured with two of her six children. She was also seen signing autographs outside the Annie Awards.

Angelina expressed her thoughts on violence against women, stating that it is still treated as a minor offense. She highlighted how some countries discuss sexual violence more openly and have leaders actively working to address it. Over 150 countries have pledged to end impunity for rape in war zones, with new teams supporting prosecutions and gathering evidence.

During her visit to Kenya last summer, Angelina witnessed UN peacekeeping troops undergoing new training to address the issue since peacekeepers have been part of the problem. Efforts are being made to train, protect, and increase the number of women in the military with the help of NATO. However, there is still a long way to go.

Angelina recently graced the cover of Elle magazine in honor of International Women’s Day on March 8. This issue, the first to be published under ELLE’s new editor in chief Nina Garcia, will be available on newsstands from February 20.
